Butterfly Works' existing legal documents were complex, textual, and difficult to understand. We remade the assignment agreement and made the document more accessible and inclusive.
The new contract was easier for freelancers to understand and reduced the risk of misunderstandings and disputes. In addition, the visually appealing design and the use of clear language made the contract more attractive and easier to remember, increasing the freelancers' involvement in the project.

The optimization of the freelance agreement at Butterfly Works shows what impact legal design can have on making contracts more accessible and user-friendly.
The new contract was well received by both the foundation and freelancers and helped to reduce the risk of misunderstandings and disputes. The project highlights the importance of a people-centered approach to designing legal documents and the positive impact that this can have when working with partners in the country itself in the development sector.
